Haiku - Shelter

a fierce evening wind
and my lighted doorway
beckons from afar

icicles chime
below the dark rooflines
guiding me onward

every streetlamp
a honeyed beacon
in winter darkness

how slow the journey
this coming home to myself
from places faraway

the round moon beaming
there in the window
wears my weary face
